What We Do
The Twin Cities Veterans Initiative (TCVI) was created to deliver emergent funds and other services for metro area vets in crisis.
Reconnect veterans in crisis by matching them with peer counselors available through the James Ballentine VFW Post #246 and provide a support network where they can walk through their life challenges with a comrade.
Through non-restricted funds, TCVI can assist veterans in crisis with immediate, stop-gap funding while they wait for the often lengthy federal funding requests to be approved.
There are numerous veteran service organizations and community partners to help with employment, energy assistance, claims processing, VA healthcare, housing, debt management, education and much more. TCVI works closely with these organizations to help veterans find the assistance they need to be successful in life.
